2011 Coming Events 

November 25 to December 24 - Christmas Tree Sales,

Boy Scout Troop 209 will sell Christmas Trees in the parking lot behind the Bank of America from Friday.  The hours of operation will be Monday – Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.


December 2 - 41st Annual  Fairport Village Christmas Party  at the Green Lantern Inn, with all proceeds going to the Perinton Food Shelf.   Tables of eight or ten may be reserved. 

Cocktails begin at 6:30 pm, followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing to the

music of the Johnny Matt Band.  Tickets are $40 per person.  Reservations will be required and may be made by calling 585-223-5929.

December 3 - Home for the Holidays in Kennelley Park and along Main Street on December 3, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. sponsored by the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association.  Wagon rides will be available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Fire Department Band will begin playing, in the gazebo, at 4 p.m. to welcome Santa, and the Christmas Tree Lighting will be at 5 p.m. Lights in Kennelley Park and the gazebo will be turned on beginning at 3 p.m.  “No Parking” restrictions will be in effect on the both sides of Main Street, from Liftbridge Lane to the Bank of America from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.



Other 2011Events  

January 29 and 30-Labatt Pond Hockey Tournament to be held on the canal, from 7 am to 8 pm, for participants age 21 and older.

March 23 - Annual Brotherhood - Sisterhood March for Unity from 10 am to noon.

April 29 -  Arbor Day Celebration  at noon at the North Bank Pavilion in the Box Factory Parking Lot on Liftbridge Lane East.

May 7
- 3rd Annual 5K for Kenya from 9:00 am to noon. 

May 20 - Ride for Missing Children organized by the nation Center for Mission and Exploited Children, New York Branch.  300 bicyclists are expected about 1:30 to enter the village on West Church Street and then turning right on Main Streen in route to Martha Brown Middle School.

May 21 - Residential “Green Day, in Perinton, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Perinton DPW, from 7:45 am to 1 pm.  An appointment is necessary for hazardous waste collection, but not for the computer and electronic recycling or paper shredding.  For more information call 223-5115 or you can make an appointment on the Monroe County website.  at the Perinton Highway Garage, 100 Cobb’s Lane

May 30 - Memorial Day Parade - The parade will begin at 10 am at North main Street and Whitney Road.

 June 2 - August 4 -Gazebo Concerts at Vincent G. Kennelley Park, Thursday evenings at 7 pm.

June 3 - 5 - Fairport Canal Days Arts Festival - Festivities begin at 4:30 Friday and continue from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.  Shuttle bus available at Minerva Deland Middle School and Northside/Dudley Elementary School.

June 11, 18, 25 and July 2 - Moonlight Concert Series at Kennelley Park Gazebo at 7:30 pm.

June 12 - 3rd Annual Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony starting in Fairport Junction then crossing the lift bridge to Kennelley Park.  Main Street will be closed for this ceremony for about 20 minutes at approximately 4:25 pm.

July 4, 2011 - Firecracker Five Mile Run at 8:30 am beginning at Perinton park.  Parade will begin at North Main Street and Whitney Road immediately following the Run, but not before 10:00 a.m.

July 28 - 30 - Empire State Regatta on the canal.  For more information go to

August 12 - Angel Walk 2011 will begin at 6:30 pm at the Kennelley Park Gazebo.

August 20 - Youth Concert in Kennelley Park from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.  organized by the Fairport Public Library.

August 27 - 7th Annual Fairport Music and Food Festival,
7am to 10 pm. on Liftbridge Lane East.

September 24 - Fairport High School Homecoming Parade beginning at 9:00 am at Main Street

September 25 -7thAnnual Lift Bridge Regatta from 8 am to 4 pm

October 7 & 8 - Oktober Fest on Friday from 4pm to Midnight and Saturday from Noon to Midnight at the Fairport Junction Festival site.


October 8 -
Annual Scarecrow Festival, 10:30am to 4:30 pm organized by the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association Main Street from Church Street to High Street with entertainment in Kennelly Park and the parking lot on the  east side of North Main Street.

 October 8 - Annual Scarecrow Safe Journey 5K Run/Walk,  7 am to noon , organized by Safe Journey at the North Bank Pavilion.

November 15 - Perinton Historical Society, 5 p.m. Wine tasting and exhibition and discussion of local artist Carl W. Peters work.

Thursday Nights in December - Luminary Nights - Look for the luminaries to find participating merchant sales and specials. Open ‘til 9:00pm! Join in the Holiday Window Walk “People’s choice” - vote for your favorite holiday store window display.

October9, 2010  Annual Scarecrow Safe Journey 5K Run/Walk  9:00 am sponsored by Safe Journey of Fairport beginning in front of the Village Hall.

                      Scarecrow Festival  The Fairport Perinton Merchants Association will hold the annual Scarecrow Festival  from 11:00 am to 4:15 pm  Parking on Main Street will be prohibited from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between Church Street and East Avenue.   


 August 28, 2010 Fairport Music and Food Festival  on Liftbridge Lane East from noon until 10:00 P.M. on Liftbridge Lane.  Tickets available at the Village Clerk's Office.  Proceeds benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital.

August 2, 2010 Vice President Mike Barker and Legislator Ciaran Hanna host community office hours from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Fairport Public Library.  Mike and Ciaran will introduce themselves to the community, answer questions, and listen to concerns.

July 3, 2010 Independence Day Parade - 10:00 am North Main Street to Church Street.

June 12, 2010 Fairport Police Benevolent Association Annual Bicycle Rodeo Johanna Perrin Middle School 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

June 4 - 6, 2010 Canal Days

June 3 - August 5, 2010 Gazebo Concert Series Thursday nights from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Vincent G. Kennelley Park gazebo.

June - September 2 Car Cruz Nights Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Box Factory Parking Lot on Liftbridge Lane East.

May 31, 2010 Memorial Day Parade - 10:00 a.m.  The parade will begin at the intersection of North main Street and Whitney Road, proceed south on Main Street to Church Street, then turn west to Potter Place.  A memorial ceremony will follow at Potter Park.

March 24, 2010 15th Annual Brotherhood-Sisterhood March for Unity
- 10:00 - Noon

Late November through Mid-March (weather permitting)
 - Ice Rink will be open Noon until 8:00 P.M. daily.  Ice Rink closed March 4th due to warm weather.
